CÓMPETA (20 minutes)

Cómpeta extends on the southern slope of the Sierra de Almijara at an altitude of 638 meters. It is great fun to wander around the narrow streets and end on a terrace. Every year on Aug. 15, people celebrate La Noche del Vino, the wine festival.

TORROX (20 minutes)

Torrox pueblo is one of those typical Spanish white villages in Andalusia with 13,000 inhabitants. The village is 2000 years old and has a special appearance with narrow alleys with many stairs, the typical Andalusian colorful flower pots and the square full of umbrellas (in summer months).

FRIGILIANA (25 minutes)

Frigiliana, voted the most beautiful Andalusian white village in the 1990s, is located north of Nerja in the southern foothills of the Sierra de Almijara. The old center, with steep streets and whitewashed houses, sea blue doors and window frames, has been beautifully renovated. The brick-lined streets look like mosaic floors in shades of gray.

NERJA (25 minutes)

Nerja is known for its cozy center, numerous beaches, delicious food and the Balcón of Europe, a promenade in the center atop a cliff jutting into the sea. In this spot you have beautiful views of the Mediterranean Sea, the cliffs and the spectacular beaches of Nerja. There are many nice stores and in the evening the center with its many terraces comes alive. A visit to the caves of Nerja are also worthwhile.

CANILLAS DE ACEITUNO (40 minutes)

Canillas de Aceituno lies at an altitude of about 524 meters, at the foot of the Sierra de Tejeda with the peak La Maroma, at 2,068 meters, the highest mountain in the province. The village has cozy bars and whitewashed narrow streets.

COMARES (50 minutes)

Comares is located in the foothills of the ‘Montes de Málaga’ at 703 meters above sea level, making it the highest white village in Andalusia. It was built on the remains of an Arab fort. If you follow the blue colored “footstep tiles” you will pass by the most beautiful sights in the village.

MÁLAGA (30-45 minutes)

Málaga, capital of the province of Málaga with a population of about 600,000. It is a lovely city with a nice relaxed atmosphere. The city is by the sea, so it is great to spend time on the beaches and in the harbor. In addition, you will find plenty of quaint tapas stalls, colorful murals and beautiful sights in Málaga. Alcazaba, which means citadel in Arabic is a tourist attraction because of its beauty and history. Calle Larios is Málaga’s most famous shopping street. With its warm atmosphere and sunshine, Málaga is a historic, cultural and hip place.

GRANADA (1 hour and 20 minutes)

Granada lies at the foot of the Sierra Nevada Mountains. The city is home to one of Spain’s most famous monuments, the Alhambra, a gigantic historic palace full of remnants of both Moorish and Catholic culture. Furthermore, Granada is known for its prestigious university, making it a popular Spanish student city.

CÓRDOBA (2 hours and 10 minutes)

Cordoba capital of the province of the same name, located on the Guadalquivir River with Puente Romano, the Roman bridge in the center which dates from the 1st century BC. It is the third largest city in Andalusia, after Seville and Málaga, and has about 360,000 inhabitants. In the heart of the Spanish city of Córdoba lies the Mezquita Catedral de Córdoba. This building has served as both a mosque and a cathedral over a period of 1,300 years. It is therefore an extraordinary building that fuses different architectural styles and religions, a telling example of the city’s history.

RONDA (1 hour and 50 minutes)

Ronda is about 750 meters above sea level. The Guadalevín River splits the town in two and has carved out a deep gorge. Puente Nuevo is an impressive 120-meter-high bridge, in 1751 they started the 42-year construction of the bridge that is now Ronda’s landmark.

SEVILLA (2 hours and 40 minutes)

Seville is among the most beautiful cities in Spain. Not only for its interesting history, great weather or delicious food, but especially for all the sights in Seville. Mysterious streets, intriguing gates and the most beautiful square in the world, Plaza de España. The center is easily walkable with the Real Alcazar de Sevilla palace and the Giralda Tower.
